Are you interested in working with children who have been diagnosed with autism? Then we want to hear from you! We need enthusiastic individuals to expand our dedicated team providing behaviourally based instruction Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) to pupils.

Role summary:

This role is based in the Jigsaw CABAS® School and will involve supporting pupils with autism and related disabilities within a classroom environment to encourage learning progression and social development.

Candidate requirements:

Ideally candidates will have previous experience of working with children with autism within an educational, care or personal setting.  An understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and a good standard of literacy and numeracy are required.  Candidates must also show willingness to attend training sessions on the basics of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

It is desirable for candidates to have had previous work experience of providing support in a similar environment and experience delivering personal care.

Working hours:

Working hours are 27.5 hours per week (34.75 hours FTE) from 9.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday with a half hour unpaid break per day.

Remuneration:

  • Starting salary is £10,913 pro rata per annum (£13,790 FTE per annum).
  • 44 days annual leave per annum plus 8 statutory bank holidays, pro rata for part time staff.  The school operates across three terms.

  • Initially this role will be a one year fixed term contract.
