Volunteering Opportunities

We have ongoing opportunities and are looking for enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to help across the charity. There is flexibility with working hours and days, however consistent commitment is required.  Out of pocket expenses will be paid.

Baking Volunteer:

We are looking for a kind volunteer to run 3 baking sessions a week for our adult learners within our social enterprises ‘Café on the Park’. The role will include Running sessions  to help our adult learners achieve set skills and competencies in baking.

Therapy Department Volunteer:

To support the Department with the general resourcing, administration, tidiness and stocking of therapy equipment.  This may also include supporting/running therapy sessions to support the department with providing therapy to pupils at Jigsaw School.

Volunteer Minibus Driver:

Driving pupils and clients to and from Jigsaw in order to help them participate in activities off-site. Completing pre-driving safety checklist. e.g. unlock doors / defrost car / check fuel levels. Ensuring all passengers are safely seated, wearing seat-belts and if driving passengers in a wheelchair, check the chair is secure before starting engine.

Gardening Volunteer:

This volunteer role will involve working at our social enterprise project with clients from Jigsaw Plus at our site in Guildford on Wednesday afternoons. Some of the tasks will include planting and pruning, supporting clients to grow their own vegetables and maintaining and preserving the garden at our Guildford site.

Library Volunteer:

To support the school with the general upkeep and tidiness of the library and support literacy development across the school by running ‘story time’ activities and preparing resources for ‘story sacks’.

Resource Management Volunteer:

To support the school by keeping general school areas and specialist classrooms and resources tidy and organised, and assist with the management of curriculum store room and resources.
